Items needed include: sanitizing wipes, chapstick, water, fruit cup/applesauce, granola bars, cheese or PB crackers, tuna salad kits, toothbrush & paste, washcloth & soap, shampoo & comb/brush, razor & shaving cream for men and sanitary items for women, adult socks, lotion, tissue, and laundry detergent. Cold weather is here. Gloves, hats, fleece blankets and hand warmers are needed.
Donated items may be left in a tub in the back of the church. Financial donations are always welcome. To date, 1,354 bags of blessings have been donated to the homeless. Many thanks for the donations for these bags.
Our new mat making group will meet every 2nd and 4th Friday, at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall, to work on making plastic mats for the homeless. Everyone is welcome and no experience is needed. It takes approximately 400 bags to make one mat. Please continue to bring your plastic bags to the Parish Hall and place them in the marked boxes. To date, we have made and given away 15 mats to the homeless.
Mission Statement: The Immaculate Conception Women’s Group seeks to share the love of Christ in our parish and the broader community through acts of charity, hospitality and fellowship.
ALL women of the Immaculate Conception Parish are included in the Women’s Group. Women may participate in any or all of the activities sponsored and supported by the group. Women are invited to contribute to any or all projects, from preparing and serving a meal to donating items to our many bake sales and craft fairs that are held throughout the year.
The women of IC are a diverse group, each of us with a special gift that we can bring to our parish. It is not necessary to attend monthly meetings, or fill out long forms.
Activities and contact persons are routinely announced in the Sunday Bulletin.
Join us in reaching out to other women, in our parish and around the world, to share Christ’s love and charity. Make your voice known.
